Expats. Travelers who settled down for a tiny bit? Wanderers who found their place on Earth? Seekers who reached a place where they intended to be? Who are they? Would you like to meet them?
Hint: say yes!
The Picktures proudly presents you my guest post series: Expat Wednesdays!
Today, I would love to introduce you to Frankie, an English expat living in Amsterdam, editor-in-chief of As the Bird Flies blog. Take a look at her wonderful pictures.
Here are some photos of life recently for me as an ex-pat living in Amsterdam and the Netherlands. My Australian partner and I moved here last summer after nearly two years of permanent travel and at the moment we have no plans to leave thanks to our love for this beautiful, easy-going cycling city. While I love Amsterdam and will never tire of taking photos of the canals and houses, I’m really keen to see more of our “borrowed home country” and so in the last month I’ve visited the famous spring gardens of Keukenhof and we also went to stay with a friend’s family in Gelderland in the east of the Netherlands. I’m looking forward to travelling more this summer too!
