It’s been 99 years already

Armenian Genocide
The date 24th April is observed in Armenia as Genocide Remembrance Day.
Together with many other people of Yerevan I went to Genocide Memorial to commemorate the victims. To show that I remember. 99 years have passed without official recognition of Armenian Genocide.

I do remember. I do recognize. Do you?

I marched to the Memorial with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of Genocide survivors. I live, work, hangout, love and laugh among children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of Genocide survivors. Please stand with me for the recognition of their painful history. Let the wound heal. Remember.

I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.
